We are passionate about connecting people with qualified engineers & civil professionals.
It all started with a group of engineers who recognized a frustrating pattern:
-
Individuals commonly need engineering services.
The projects aren’t often large, but when a basement is caving in, a survey is needed, or CAD drawings are required, a fast response is needed.
-
It's hard to access the *right* professional services.
When homeowners cold call engineering businesses, it’s not always easy to know what kind of engineer you need, or if that company can even do the kind of civil professional tasks to get the job done. Unless you already know someone in the business, this can be extremely frustrating.
-
The average person can't cover the costs of large company overheads.
Maybe you finally find an appropriate person who understands your project and they put together a fee proposal, but it’s well outside what you were expecting to pay. You start back from square one or opt to pay the high expense.
-
So what can you do?
It’s time to EngineerUp! We provide guidance on the type of engineer or civil professional you need and provide a list of freelance engineers to meet your specific needs.
How does EngineerUp Help?
Services EngineerUp provides are twofold:
We provide a connection between individuals needing professional services and the professionals who are interested in handling smaller tasks that larger companies simply aren’t willing to do.
EngineerUp also offers a membership to engineers & professionals that provides resources on how to properly do business for themselves. We provide guides on how to handle the necessary administrative side of things, including set-up, taxes, business expenses and insurance, along with templates for effective project management, including scope and fee preparation and terms & conditions. All of these guides are tailored specifically to the technical service industry to simplify a potentially daunting prospect.
When a professional applies to be a member of EngineerUp, our team verifies their identity and licenses. The EngineerUp network consists of working civil engineering professionals starting a side business, or existing small businesses taking that first step to being out on their own. Once you have identified the service you need, you will be able to call and discuss your project with multiple individuals to determine who best fits your needs.
Where is EngineerUp Headed?
EngineerUp is a small but passionate start-up right now. While we are currently in a handful of states, we intend on expanding rapidly to the rest of the country.
As interest grows, we’ll be working with web developers to add new features like better search-and-find functionality, rating systems, data recording, and more to improve EngineerUp’s user experience for both customers and professionals.
Our goal is to connect civil engineering professionals with customers. As we are growing, we enjoy receiving feedback from all of our users, especially to understand what we can do better and what is already working. If you’d like to share your experience with EngineerUp, please send us an email with your thoughts at feedback@engineer-up.com.
