What do surveyors do?
A survey is a detailed layout of a physical area. Depending on the needs, this work can include topographic information, property lines and utility locations.
This data is gathered from the field and the converted into data files that can be translated on paper. This is very helpful when laying out a project and needing to understand what the existing ground is doing, ensuring the design is appropriately laid out, and showing where utilities are located in the project plans.
